Pokljuka

Pokljuka lies about 20 minutes drive from Bled. It is a valley among magnificant mountains with beautiful und undiscovered nature. Pokljuka hosts Biathlon World Cup races every year and has hosted the 33. World Biathlon Championship in 2001. New sport recreation centre is being built in Pokljuka, which should be finished until August 2009. New trails and infrastructure will serve for achieving the best results.

Pokljuka is also where the VI. EYOF took place in 2003, along with many other events such as the European Cup in Biathlon. Junior World Championships, International Customs Games, World Archery Biathlon Championships, and the 44. World Military Championships.
