Bled
Over the recent years Bled has hosted:
European Junior Ice Hockey Championships, World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (twice), World Ice Hockey Championships - Group C (twice) , International Figure Skating Camps, International Ice Bowling Tournaments, ISU Junior Grand Prix, ISU Junior World Championships, Chess Olympiad, VI. EYOF 2003. In 2011 Bled will host World Rowing Championships for the forth time.
Kranjska Gora and Planica
Kranjska Gora and Planica are traditional hosts of World Cup events. The best Alpine skiers come to Kranjska Gora each year to compete in the Vitranc World Cup, while Planica is the famous venue for the World Cup ski jumping finals. Planica has also hosted many Ski Flying World Championships, the last in 2004, and will host them again in 2010 when the first part of the new Nordic centre will be finished.
Pokljuka
Pokljuka hosts Biathlon World Cup races every year and hosted the 33. World Biathlon Championships in 2003.
This was also where the VI. EYOF took place in 2003, along with many other events such as the European Cup in Biathlon. Junior World Championships, International Customs Games, World Archery Biathlon Championships, and the 44. World Military Championships.
